How do I burn these files to my dvd?

I had converted avi format videos to vob format so I could see them on my dvd player. I converted them but due to some problems the software i'm using gets stuck when I want to burn these files (there is an option in the software). so i decided than I would copy and paste these videos to my dvd by going to the software folder. Will it work if do it that way?
