Burn .bup .ifo and . vob with nero to dvd, should the files be in a folder?

Hi, I read on the internet that Nero burns these files to a dvd without converting them to a .iso file. I have a list of files that together form a movie that I want to see using a normal (standalone) dvd player. Should I put these files into a folder (read something about a VIDEO_TS folder) before I burn them to dvd or can I just select the list of files and burn these? And if I should burn a folder to the dvd with all files in it, does it matter what I name this folder? I'm using Nero9: Express Essentials SE which came with my new computer. I chose the DVD-video option but now I'm not sure if I should burn these files in a folder.. Can somebody help please? Thanks!
